    Hi,

I do not know where to begin… I found this site, curious about what information I can find here.

My daughter suffered from a rare vaccine reaction to the Rotavirus vaccine on Feb 2017 when she went to her 2 months wellness checkup. Since then she has had chronic diarrhea and all associated problems, such as severe inflammation of the gut. She has been hospitalized for 70+ days without getting an official diagnosis; she is exclusively on TPN right now for nutrition. A xenome sequencing test came up with a variation of the gene WDFY4, which the doctors do not know what’s its significance and if any relationship to the illness she is suffering since vaccination…

I appreciate your thoughts on our story…

    Rotavirus vaccine can cause intussusception:

Perhaps she didn’t have the protective bacteria present such as Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria at time of vaccination.

Hi, did you find an answer from the doctors? Is your daughter doing better?

    AMOq,

There is evidence that WDFY4 is an essential gene for an immune response to viruses. Please see the following citation:

Did she have mutations on both copies of the gene or just one?
